Your library lives on your phone.

What we collect and where it lives

Your videos and records (clips, pose overlays, tags, timestamps) are stored locally on your device. There are no accounts and no cloud library in the current version.

Your rider profile (optional: name, photo, body measurements, units) is stored only on your device.

Processing uploads: when a record is created, the selected clip is uploaded to our processing server to generate the trimmed clip, pose overlay, and metrics. To find the riding moment, selected still frames may be sent to Anthropic, our AI processing provider. We do not send your rider profile or an account identifier with those frames. Uploads and processing frames are kept temporarily for processing and retry, then expire and are deleted. We do not build a copy of your library on our servers.

Crash reporting

The app and our processing server use Sentry to collect crash and error reports so we can fix problems. A report contains technical details (what failed, stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, and related network information). We configure the app not to send your videos, images, name, or rider profile with these reports. Crash data is retained by Sentry for a limited period and used only for debugging.

What we don't do

We do not sell your videos, rider profile, or app library data. The app does not access your photo library beyond the clips you explicitly pick. Optional measurement on this website is described below and only starts after you accept it.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play together with RevenueCat, which manages subscription status so the app can unlock Pro features. We never receive your payment card details.

App analytics and advertising measurement

RiderLens uses Meta App Events to measure app installs and launches and to understand whether an advertising campaign led to an install. It also sends a limited analysis funnel to Google Analytics 4 and Meta: when an analysis starts, completes, fails, or is retried. Analysis events may include the selected skill, clip duration, retry type, processing stage, and whether a skeleton video was created; they never include your videos, images, rider profile, record title, or error message. Meta may also receive technical details such as app version, device and operating system information, event time, IP-derived approximate location, and App Store subscription, purchase, or trial events.

Google Analytics receives these analysis events from our processing service rather than directly from the app. Events for one analysis share a random analysis identifier so that its steps can be connected, but RiderLens does not send Google a persistent device, advertising, account, or rider identifier.

On Android, Meta may access the Google advertising identifier when it is available and use it for analytics and advertising measurement. You can delete or reset this identifier in Android's privacy settings without losing RiderLens features.

On iOS 14.5 and later, RiderLens asks for permission before enabling access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) or tracking activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, RiderLens does not enable advertising-identifier collection and all app features remain available. Meta may still receive limited, privacy-preserving install and app-launch measurement supplied by Apple or without an advertising identifier.

Sharing

When you share a clip from RiderLens, you decide where it goes. Shared clips may carry a RiderLens watermark and a link to this site.

If you choose "Share link", that clip and a preview image are hosted at an unguessable web address so the person you send it to can watch it in a browser. The clip stays hosted until you ask us to remove it — email hello@riderlens.app with the link and we delete it.

Deleting your data

Deleting a record in the app deletes its files from your device, including the copied source video. Deleting the app removes everything. Server-side processing uploads expire automatically. See delete your data.

Website analytics and advertising measurement

On riderlens.app, Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel run only if you choose “Accept analytics” in our consent banner. They help us understand which pages are visited and whether a visitor clicks through to the App Store or Google Play, so we can measure and improve our campaigns.

When enabled, these services may receive the page address, referring page, browser and device details, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your app-store link clicks. Google and Meta may set identifiers such as _ga, _fbp, and _fbc and process the data under their own privacy policies.

You can reject analytics without losing any site features. Your choice is stored in your browser. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time to change it; rejecting after acceptance revokes consent and removes the known Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies from this site.

The RiderLens app does not embed the Google Analytics SDK or the browser-based Meta Pixel. Its limited server-side Google Analytics 4 and Meta App Events measurement is described above.

Children

RiderLens is not directed at children under 13.
